The Municipal Arts Center of Burriana has concluded the “En abril, danzas mil” cycle with an open-air performance in Plaza de la Merced, commemorating International Dance Day and connecting art with the community.

The event transformed this emblematic space into a meeting point for art, citizenship, and shared emotion, marking the end of a month entirely dedicated to dance. The initiative highlighted the discipline's ability to connect people and build community.

"These types of initiatives highlight the great work carried out by the Municipal Arts Center and its ability to bring culture closer to citizens, taking it to the streets and making it accessible to all audiences."

The celebration began with the performance “Musiqueando 2026”, a national initiative organized by the Confederation of Associations of Musical Education (COAEM). Students from the Abel Mus Elementary Music Conservatory and the Burriana Municipal Dance School participated jointly, followed by choir and castanet performances.
Subsequently, dance students presented a joint artistic proposal showcasing the richness and diversity of disciplines taught at the center. The collective choreography integrated classical, contemporary, and Spanish dance, symbolizing the union of languages and generations. The event concluded with the reading of the official Dance Day manifesto, which invites recognition of dance as a universal language.
Beyond the technical exhibition, the performance emphasized dance's value in transcending words and building community, in line with the official message of International Dance Day. Public response was very positive, supporting an initiative that brings artistic practice to the urban environment and highlights the continuous work of students and teachers.
With this activity, the Municipal Arts Center of Burriana not only closes a cycle dedicated to dance but also reaffirms its commitment to the dissemination of performing arts and the comprehensive training of its students, understanding culture as a fundamental axis for the development of a more open, creative, and cohesive society.
