The city of Burriana will celebrate the III Dansà a la Mare de Déu dels Desamparats next Sunday, May 10, in the Plaça de les Monges, an event that seeks to highlight Valencian popular culture.

Following the success of previous editions, the Burriana City Council, through the Fallas department, is organizing this initiative that promotes music, dance, and citizen participation. The dansà will begin at 11:30 AM and has become an important event in the local cultural calendar.
In this third edition, the Plaça de les Monges will be the setting for a demonstration of traditional Valencian couple dancing. It will feature the participation of the Fallas commissions, the Fallas Queens of Burriana 2026, their Courts of Honor, and members of the Local Fallas Board.
The event will also have the collaboration of the Grup de Danses Tradicionals l’Arenilla and the Colla de Dolçainers i Tabaleters de Burriana, who will provide live music. Preparatory rehearsals are directed by a member of the Grup de Danses Tradicionals l’Arenilla and Les Folies de Carcaixent, who also coordinates the costume area of the Local Fallas Board.

"The Dansà has become an unmissable event for our traditions. Reaching the third edition is a symptom of the enthusiasm with which the Fallas community and residents experience our customs."

the Councilor for Fallas
The Councilor for Fallas emphasized that this daytime gathering provides an incomparable setting to honor cultural roots and highlight the heritage that unites the municipality, reinforcing the traditional dances of the capital of La Plana Baixa.
