The Burriana City Council, in collaboration with the Municipal Sports Service, has presented the 10th Women's Race, a solidarity initiative that will donate its proceeds to the Le Cadó Foundation for breast cancer research.

The popular march, consisting of a 5-kilometer route, will take place next Sunday, May 24, at 10:00 AM. This event, already consolidated in the municipality, seeks to paint the streets of Burriana pink, promoting sport as a tool for social cohesion and a channel for solidarity in favor of oncological research.
The design of the poster and the official t-shirt for this special edition was created by a local artist. The piece features a female figure represented in white through vertical lines symbolizing women. Butterflies and floral shapes emerge from her head, representing each of the ten years of this solidarity march.

"A decade of shared steps, collective effort, and living hope."

The event has the sponsorship and collaboration of numerous entities. Thanks to this support, in addition to the walk, free sports activities will be offered to all attendees. Registrations, with a donation of €10 benefiting the Le Cadó Foundation, can now be purchased at the Burriana Municipal Pool. Participation in this initiative helps continue funding breast cancer research projects and offers support to affected individuals.
The Le Cadó Foundation, established 16 years ago in Burriana, is the first private foundation in Spain with a national scope, non-scientific, and specifically dedicated to breast cancer. This disease affects one in eight women, and advances in its research are increasingly approaching the point where, finally, a treatment will mean a cure.

"This tenth edition is a date that demonstrates Burriana's constancy in the fight against this disease. The poster perfectly reflects that union between art and solidarity that defines Burriana."

"I encourage all residents to walk together for this cause because it is the best tribute we can pay to all women who fight every day. I am sure that next May 24, the streets of Burriana will once again be dyed pink for hope and show the solidarity of all the residents of the municipality."
