The central event of the day was the homage to the Illustrious Troubadours 2026, which honored Pilar 'la de Gregorio' and, posthumously, Pepito 'el Fuster'. These two figures are considered key in the fair's history, and their recognition brought together neighbors, family, and authorities in an emotional setting.
“"The fair demonstrates that tradition and participation advance together, with an engaged public and a deserved recognition for those who have been an essential part of the event."
Throughout the day, the fairgrounds hosted a parade by the group Dolçainers i Tabaleters l'Embolic d'Orpesa, which toured the main streets with traditional music. The program also included a performance by the vocal group l'Antina, which was highly applauded by the public, and a display of cultural diversity with songs performed by Moldovan women residing in the municipality.
In addition to the musical performances, the public could participate in artisan workshops, with offerings such as clay modeling, ceramic decoration, traditional product making, and leather work, aimed at all audiences. The deputy mayor and councilor responsible for the Trobà noted that the fair demonstrates that tradition and participation move forward together. For his part, the mayor highlighted the pride in paying tribute to two much-loved people and stressed that their legacy is part of the Trobà's growth and the collective sentiment of the municipality.
The program for the Trobà d'Orpesa will continue throughout the weekend with new activities and performances, solidifying its position as one of the main cultural and festive events in the locality.
