The representation of the Passion of Christ in Torreblanca has been declared an Autonomous Tourist Interest Festival this year, transforming the town into a large open-air stage that attracts thousands of visitors every Holy Week.

Reporter Mari Carmen Montes, from À Punt's Terra de festes program, has visited Torreblanca to get a closer look at one of the most unique representations of Valencian Holy Week. The Passion of Christ, which debuts this year with the distinction of Autonomous Tourist Interest Festival, mobilizes nearly 200 people including actors, actresses, and technical staff.
The municipality transforms into a large open-air stage, where the public accompanies the different scenes from the Plaza Mayor to the Calvary. The emotion reaches its most intense point with the moments of the crucifixion and resurrection, which annually attract thousands of visitors to the town.
In addition to the representation, the program's team also visits the Roman Market, which complements the municipality's cultural offerings with historical settings and activities for all audiences. Terra de festes, promoted by À Punt, the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FVMP), and the Presidency of the Generalitat, reaffirms the commitment to showcase the cultural and festive richness of Valencian towns, highlighting traditions that are an essential part of our collective identity.
