Almassora's Tourism Department presents the guided route 'The splendor of the orange', an initiative to learn about the importance of citrus cultivation in the municipality.

The history of Almassora is also discovered among orange trees. With this perspective, the Tourism Department is incorporating a new proposal this year into the Discover Almassora program: the guided route El esplendor de la naranja (The splendor of the orange), an experience designed to delve into the importance that citrus cultivation has had on the economic, social, and landscape development of the municipality.
The activity will take place next Saturday, June 13, at 6:30 PM, and will tour different locations within the municipal area linked to Almassora's citrus tradition. The route has 24 places, and registrations will remain open until June 12.
The Councilor for Tourism, Silvana Rovira, explained that this initiative aims to expand the range of tourist experiences in Almassora and introduce residents and visitors to some of the most representative elements of the local identity. “The orange is part of our history, our landscape, and our way of understanding the territory. With this new route, we want to showcase that legacy and offer an attractive experience for all those who wish to discover Almassora from a different perspective,” she stated.
Rovira recalled that Discover Almassora encompasses a set of routes and experiences designed to showcase the municipality's heritage, cultural, natural, and gastronomic richness. The new route joins the tourist programming promoted by the Almassora City Council to foster proximity tourism, sustainability, and knowledge of the local environment, with proposals that combine education, heritage, and experience.
