The boat Luixi II, belonging to the sport fishing company Luixi Fishing Charter, has achieved a spectacular catch of red tuna weighing around 300 kilos in the waters of Castellón, during the second day of the red tuna sport fishing season opening. The catch has generated significant excitement due to the specimen's size, which could be among the most notable catches in the area for the current annual sport fishing period.
According to the information provided, the day did not end with this single large specimen. Other boats involved in the activity also made three more red tuna catches, with approximate weights of 250 kilos and two more specimens of about 150 kilos each. In total, the catches would approach a ton of red tuna, a particularly striking figure considering that the quota allocated for all of Spain in this category is approximately 40 tons.
The boat Luixi II is based at Marina Las Fuentes in Alcossebre and is part of the company Luixi Fishing Charter.
