The Guardia Civil reinforced security in Almassora during the Santa Quiteria patron saint festivities, held between May 15th and 24th, with a special operation leading to nine arrests and over 80 penalty proposals.

An extensive special security operation, deployed by the Guardia Civil of Castellón between May 15th and 24th, ensured public safety during the patron saint festivities of Santa Quiteria in Almassora. The operation, focused on preventive surveillance at events with high crowd concentration, involved various specialized units such as the Air Unit, Usecic, the K9 Unit, and personnel from the Castellón Company.
As a result of this operation, nine arrests were made for various offenses, including assault and disobedience to law enforcement officers, crimes against public health, gender violence, and outstanding judicial warrants. Additionally, seven other individuals were investigated for their alleged involvement in offenses related to injuries, domestic violence, and theft.
In terms of public safety, officers issued 80 penalty proposals for violations of the Organic Law on the Protection of Citizen Security, primarily for possession and consumption of narcotic substances and public order disturbances. In traffic matters, 35 penalty proposals were recorded, along with three more for violations of the Arms Regulations.
The operation also included six medical assistance interventions for individuals requiring aid during the festive events. The Guardia Civil highlighted the importance of these preventive operations in improving response capacity and coordination during large-scale events, fostering coexistence and safety.
