The operation, named Luein, began after detecting signs of a clandestine cannabis plantation in an Almassora residence. Subsequent investigations led officers to locate a property used exclusively for drug cultivation, and later, to link the suspects with a second home in Castellón where a smaller plantation was also found.
During the searches, conducted with support from various specialized units, two indoor cultivation setups were discovered, fully equipped with lighting, ventilation, climate control, and environmental systems. The Civil Guard seized a total of over 600 marijuana plants in an advanced flowering stage.
In addition to the plants, cash and two long firearms with ammunition were confiscated. Technical inspection revealed an illegal connection to the electrical grid, allegedly used to supply the high energy consumption of the facilities, which was immediately cut off.
