La Pobla de Farnals begins its summer programming with the I Magic Festival 'Onades de Màgia' on June 27th and 28th, followed by the Fira d’Estiu running through July and August.

La Pobla de Farnals will kick off its summer cultural activities with one of its main novelties: 'Onades de Màgia' (Waves of Magic), the town's first Magic Festival. The event will take place on June 27th and 28th in the Cortes Valencianas square and will serve as the starting point for the cultural and leisure program that the municipality will develop during July and August, especially in the beach area.
The new festival aims to offer a different proposal for the start of summer and bring illusionism closer to residents and visitors. 'Onades de Màgia' will feature workshops, shows, a grand gala, and participatory activities for all audiences. Héctor Sansegundo will be the master of ceremonies.
The program will begin on Saturday, June 27th, with magic workshops led by Patri Zenner at 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 1:00 PM. In the afternoon, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, attendees can enjoy the 'La Máquina' Magic Caravan, managed by Héctor Sansegundo, the festival's artistic director, who will also present the gala. At 8:00 PM, there will be a show by Jean Philippe, and at 10:00 PM, the Grand Magic Gala will bring together Franzis Zafrilla, Patri Zenner, and Jean Philippe, along with international artist Víctor Cerro.
On Sunday, June 28th, the program will continue with a show by Patri Zenner at 12:00 PM. In the afternoon, Héctor Sansegundo's Magic Caravan will return from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and at 8:00 PM, Francis Zafrilla will close the festival with a magic and humor performance.
Following the premiere of 'Onades de Màgia', La Pobla de Farnals will continue its summer agenda with the 10th edition of the Fira d’Estiu (Summer Fair), a cultural and leisure program that will run throughout July and August with activities for all ages. The Cortes Valencianas square will once again be one of the main venues for this program, featuring street theater, clown shows, circus acts, magic, music, and humor. The concert by Los D_Kasa will provide music for the final stretch of the Fira d’Estiu.
Open-air cinema will once again be part of the summer programming, with screenings during July and August in locations such as Pobla Marina beach and the Cortes Valencianas square. The schedule thus maintains an offering designed for enjoying culture with family and outdoors during summer nights.
The summer program also includes sports and wellness activities open to the public. At Playa Norte, there will be gymnastics sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, and yoga classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM. Additionally, on Wednesdays, from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM, there will be dance classes in the Cortes Valencianas square. The sports calendar will be completed with the XII Interplaya Tournament, held from August 1st to 15th at Rafael Alberti square.
The Fira d’Estiu will also include proposals related to the environment and family participation, such as the turtle exhibition and workshop at Platja Nord, the XIV 'Nostra platja' Drawing Contest, the Ecovidrio mini-glü contest, and the XI Micro-waste Collection Campaign, scheduled for August 29th.
Regarding commercial and tourist activity, the municipality is organizing various themed markets. Among them are the Market of the Sea, which will be set up on Fridays on Rey Don Jaime avenue; the Maritime Fair on Colón promenade; the Medieval Market, from July 3rd to 5th; the 80s Remember Fair Market, from July 17th to 19th; the Maritime Market, from August 7th to 9th; and the Artisan Women's Market, on August 15th.
Before the start of the July cultural program, La Pobla de Farnals will celebrate the Night of San Juan on June 23rd by the sea, one of the most anticipated events of the summer calendar. The celebration will feature the lighting of a bonfire, a fireworks display, and live music to officially welcome summer. Free buses will be available during the night to facilitate travel. Schedules and information on the special service can be found on the municipal website.
The summer in La Pobla de Farnals will continue with other notable local events. In July, the municipality will celebrate the festivals in honor of the Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of sailors. In September, the town will experience its Festes Majors (Major Festivals), one of the most anticipated celebrations of the year, with a program that will combine tradition, culture, music, sports, and activities for all audiences. With this agenda, the La Pobla de Farnals City Council reinforces its summer cultural, tourist, and festive programming with proposals designed for enjoying public spaces, the beach, and neighborly coexistence in the coming months.
