A driver has been investigated for a suspected offense against road safety after accessing Oropesa's Via Verde with her vehicle, removing the access bollards, and subsequently plunging down an embankment.

The incident occurred last Friday, May 29, when officers from the Local Police of Oropesa del Mar received a report that a vehicle had entered the Via Verde, an area not authorized for car traffic. Several patrols were dispatched to the scene to assist the driver and secure the area, thereby preventing further risks to other users.
During the police intervention, the woman refused to undergo the legally established tests for alcohol detection. For this reason, she was investigated for a suspected offense against road safety, in addition to being fined for administrative violations committed.
The Local Police have reiterated the importance of respecting signage and cooperating with officers during any intervention, as these are fundamental obligations to ensure everyone's safety.
