The event served to strengthen ties between the different musical societies in the region and to recognize the year-round work they undertake to keep musical culture alive in the municipalities of Castellón.
Provincial deputy David Vicente participated in the meeting and highlighted the importance of music bands as a fundamental part of the identity of the towns of Castellón. He noted that the fourteen participating ensembles represent the effort, dedication, and commitment of generations of musicians who have helped preserve a unique cultural heritage.
Vicente also emphasized the role of musical societies as spaces for training and community, where values such as responsibility, discipline, and teamwork are instilled, while fostering relationships between people of different generations.
The provincial deputy remarked that music is part of the essence of Castellón and reaffirmed the Provincial Council's commitment to the province's musical societies, defining them as one of the most representative cultural expressions of the territory.
The Band Meetings will continue after the summer with new dates across the province. On September 12th, Figueroles will host the meeting for Alcalatén-Alt Millars; on September 26th, it will be the turn of Baix Maestrat in La Jana; and the cycle will conclude on October 4th in Catí with the regional meeting for Els Ports-Alt Maestrat.
