The Benicàssim City Council has installed solar road studs at 12 pedestrian crossings in the municipality to increase road safety and improve visibility in areas with high traffic intensity or low lighting.

These luminous devices operate autonomously and allow for increased signaling at strategic points, especially during the night or in conditions of poor visibility, with the aim of protecting pedestrians.
The council has already verified their effectiveness at the pedestrian crossing on La Parreta Avenue, opposite the Oasis residential area, where visibility has significantly improved after the installation.
The first action was carried out on Santo Tomás Street, while interventions have also taken place at the crossing located in front of the municipal library, where the last planned units have been installed.

"Road safety is a priority for the governing team, and these actions respond to citizen demand for safer public spaces."

the mayor of Benicàssim
The Mobility councilor emphasized that solar road studs are an effective tool to enhance visibility at critical points and stated that the Mobility department continues to work on an integral plan based on technology, urban maintenance, and awareness to move towards a safer and more accessible city.
