Almassora has revived its traditional festive Parade this Saturday, postponed due to rain, featuring nearly twenty floats and groups that filled the streets with music and tradition.

Nearly twenty floats, entities, and folk groups participated in the festive Parade of Almassora, which was rescheduled this Saturday after being postponed due to rain on May 9th. The parade filled the streets with music, folklore, color, and tradition, drawing hundreds of residents and visitors along the entire route.
The procession traveled along José Ortiz avenue and the streets of Sant Lluís, Santa Quitèria, Sant Marc, Sant Ramon, and Trinidad, with the participation of nearly twenty floats, associations, educational centers, sports clubs, and cultural collectives from the municipality.
A significant novelty this year was the creation, for the first time, of a sensory-friendly zone at the initial section of the route. The City Council promoted this space with specific measures to facilitate the participation of individuals with functional diversity or sensory sensitivities, aiming for more accessible and inclusive festivities.
The opening of the Parade was led by Tambors de Passió, followed by the phalanxes of the Association of Moors and Christians of Almassora. Subsequently, the Cultural Association of Ladies and Knights of Uixó paraded, accompanied by Na Violant d’Hongria, along with various groups of dulzainers and tabaleters, including Les Goles and the Cultural Association El Torrelló, and the popular giants and 'cabuts' (big-heads) Llorenç, Quiterieta, Ben-Afeli, Malafa, and Panderoleta.
Also part of the procession were the Santa Quiteria Club Patí Almassora, the Club Patí Piruetes, the children's schools Sant Josep, La Llimeta, and El Bres, the Atlètic Bàsquet Almassora, parent-teacher associations from educational centers, dance schools, the youth association Lluïsos, dance groups, batucadas, the Music School, and the Scout Group Tramuntana.
The traditional float of Les Calderes preceded the clarions and the town crier, Jaume Vaquer. The parade concluded with the festival queen, Martina Caparrós, and her maids of honor, accompanied by the Unió Instructivo Musical La Esmeralda.
The mayor, María Tormo, who followed the parade with other members of the municipal corporation, recalled that the 'Tornà' of Santa Quitèria to her hermitage will take place on June 7th, one of the most emblematic dates in the local festive calendar.
