The town of Almassora will deploy nearly 400 security personnel for its patron saint festivities in honor of Santa Quitèria, which begin today with the presentation of the queen and her ladies-in-waiting.

The special operation, coordinating the Local Police, Civil Guard, and Civil Protection, aims to ensure the proper execution of over 150 scheduled events. The Local Security Board, chaired by the mayor, brought together security force officials to finalize the details.
The plan includes the mobilization of nearly 400 Local Police officers, combining ordinary services with extraordinary reinforcements, to cover high-attendance events and strengthen preventive surveillance in the municipality's most sensitive areas. The Civil Guard will also increase its presence, with uniformed and plainclothes officers, especially in public gathering areas and near the festive grounds.

"We appreciate the involvement, collaboration, and coordination of all security forces to ensure the festivities proceed normally and residents can enjoy them with peace of mind and safety."

The prevention and emergency operation will also feature 36 Civil Protection volunteers from the Provincial Council, participating in six of the program's most crowded events. These personnel will provide service during the Pregón, the Santa Quitèria Pilgrimage (outbound and mascletà), the distribution of Les Calderes, and the Tornà, enhancing preventive care and response capabilities.
As a new initiative, the Almassora City Council will again set up violet points through the Equality Unit to prevent and address any conduct related to gender violence or sexual assault. This year, a mobile team will also visit the casals. Additionally, Centinela bracelets will be distributed, a system that detects the presence of drugs in drinks to prevent date rape.
