This initiative, following the precedent set by the last Three Kings Parade, aims to ensure that all individuals, especially those with functional diversity or sensory sensitivities, can enjoy the event in suitable conditions. The proclamation, one of the most popular events of the festivities, will maintain its participatory essence with floats from local entities, associations, educational centers, sports clubs, and cultural groups, following the usual route along José Ortiz Avenue and the streets of the urban center.
This adapted space will be located at the beginning of the route, between Boqueras and Dos de Mayo streets. The area will be delimited and specially adapted for minors with sensory hypersensitivity, autism spectrum disorders, or specific needs. The goal is to avoid waiting times and crowds, offering a controlled and fluid environment.
The sensory-friendly zone will feature characteristics such as the absence of loud noise, powerful lights, or intense visual stimuli. There will also be no confetti or candy throwing. The participation of characters will be non-invasive, limited to waving without abrupt approaches. Additionally, volunteer staff from the Local Festival Board will accompany the zone to ensure the well-being of families and maintain a calm atmosphere during the passage of the floats.
“"We want our festivities to be for everyone and by everyone. This inclusive proclamation is an important step to ensure that any resident, regardless of their circumstances, can enjoy our traditions."
