The event gathered around 1,200 registered attendees in Pere Cornell square, becoming one of the most participatory gatherings of the festive calendar.
The festival queen, Martina Caparrós, accompanied by her court of honor, and members of the municipal corporation, led by Mayor María Tormo, shared this afternoon dedicated especially to the elderly residents of the municipality. The distribution of snacks began at 6:15 PM.
The festive atmosphere was enlivened by the copla performances of Arantxa Pons and Mariló, once again placing the elderly as protagonists of the program.
Mayor Tormo highlighted that the Santa Quitèria program, with nearly 150 events, is designed for all audiences, and emphasized that Senior Citizens' Day is one of the "most beloved and participatory" events. She also reaffirmed the commitment of the Almassora City Council "to continue promoting initiatives aimed at the elderly, recognizing all that they have contributed to Almassora throughout their lives".
