The XIV Tapa Route in Almassora has unveiled the winners of its latest edition, an initiative that positions the municipality as a gastronomic benchmark during the month of April. Residents and visitors can continue to enjoy this culinary proposal until April 19.
In the Tapa Ruta category, first prize went to 'French Taco' from Kebab Manhattan. Second place was awarded to 'La Sobrasadíssima' from Duo Gastro Bar, and third place to 'Capes de Tradició' from Bar Restaurant Villahermosa.
For the Tapa Tambor category, the professional jury awarded first prize to 'Estrela de Mar' from Bar Miami. This was followed by 'La Santa Tosta' from La Tasqueta del Mercat and 'Gofre a la Gallega' from Duo Gastro Bar. The top two prizes in this category are each endowed with 200 euros.
In April, a thousand tapas.
Under the slogan 'En abril, tapas mil' (In April, a thousand tapas), the route features the participation of seven establishments: La Tasqueta del Mercat, Duo Gastro Bar, Casa María, Casa Elena, Bar Miami, Kebab Manhattan, and Bar Restaurant Villahermosa.
The Councilor for Economic Promotion, Silvana Rovira, has encouraged citizens to continue participating in this gastronomic event, as there is still time to sample the various tapas and be part of the experience until April 19.
This edition also includes public participation, with a popular jury voting for the best tapas. With three stamps on the card available at participating venues, participants can choose the best tapa in each category and enter a raffle for four dinners. If eight stamps are collected, participants will be eligible for a 300 euro prize in vouchers to spend at the route's establishments. Raffles include dinners for two sponsored by the City Council, Tambors de Passió, and Aproca, as well as a dinner for four at La Mar Salà.
