The incident occurred around 7:45 AM this Monday morning, affecting all lanes of traffic on the road. This information was released by the Provincial Fire Consortium of Castellón.
Firefighters from the Diputación de Castellón, from the Plana Baixa park, were dispatched to the scene to carry out rescue operations. Their intervention was crucial in freeing the three individuals who were physically trapped inside the crashed vehicles.
In addition to the firefighters, two ambulances arrived at the accident site to attend to the injured. Currently, the health status of those affected is pending.
The accident, involving three vehicles, caused significant traffic disruption on this section of the N-340, a key connecting road between Almassora and Castellón. The collision blocked all lanes, leading to congestion during a peak mobility period.
