The Villajoyosa City Council has initiated the drafting of its Fourth Municipal Plan for Equal Opportunities between Women and Men, a project extending until 2030 that seeks active citizen involvement.

This strategic document, which will outline actions on equality from 2026 to 2030, aims to update the diagnosis of the local reality and incorporate measures adapted to the current needs of the population. The project is funded by the Alicante Provincial Council.

"The process will allow updating the diagnosis of the local reality and incorporating new measures adapted to the current needs of the population."

The working methodology will be participatory, involving various municipal stakeholders, including citizens, associations, and technical and political staff. The main objective is to ensure that the defined actions reflect a shared and real vision of the municipality's needs.
The Fourth Equality Plan foresees the creation of different spaces for citizen participation, such as discussion groups, open meetings, and street surveys. These forums will allow for the anonymous collection of diverse perspectives and proposals to enrich the plan's content.

"The Villajoyosa City Council reaffirms its commitment to equal opportunities and to promoting public policies that foster equity, inclusion, and the well-being of all citizens."
