Over these four decades, Veolia has established a strong network of collaborations with social, educational, and cultural organizations in Benidorm. These alliances have allowed the company to reinforce its social commitment and contribute to sustainable community development in the locality.
Among the most notable initiatives is the joint work with the Red Cross. In 2024, this collaboration materialized in the Red Cross-Veolia Business Forum, a space designed to promote local social actions. The second edition of this forum is scheduled for 2026, thus consolidating this interaction space.
This year, Veolia will also co-organize the first ‘Social Talk’ event with the Club of Responsible and Sustainable Companies of the Valencian Community (CE/R+S). This event will take place at Veolia's Innovation Hub in Benidorm and will seek to foster dialogue and best practices between companies and the third sector, promoting social commitment and alliances.
Additionally, Veolia maintains collaborations with entities such as ONCE, to improve accessibility and training for people with disabilities, and ANEMONA, an association in Marina Baixa fighting against cancer.
The generation of educational opportunities and the improvement of employability are another fundamental pillar. The company actively collaborates with the Beatriu Fajardo Vocational Training Center, especially through the Dual Vocational Training program in water management. This initiative facilitates the labor integration of young people into the integrated water cycle sector. Recently, the first call for the Professional Talent Scholarship has emerged, offering financial support and social accompaniment, in collaboration with the Red Cross, for students facing economic difficulties.
“"Managing Benidorm's water cycle for 40 years means being part of its community, its challenges, and contributing to its well-being. Our commitment goes beyond water management: we want to be a driver of opportunities, especially for younger people and those who need it most."
Amelia Navarro has also announced that in 2026, the corporate program ‘Brigada Futuro’ will begin to be implemented, focusing on promoting studies related to green employment and sustainability. Environmental awareness and education are also key, with didactic activities for schoolchildren in Benidorm that seek to foster a culture of sustainability from an early age.
