One dead, four injured as car falls down a 150-meter embankment in Polop

The five occupants of the vehicle were trapped after the accident on a bend of the CV-70, resulting in one fatality and four injuries.

An 18-year-old young man has died and four other people have been injured in a traffic accident this Sunday night in Polop, when the car they were traveling in fell down an approximately 150-meter embankment.

An 18-year-old young man has died and four other people have been injured in a traffic accident after a car they were traveling in fell down an approximately 150-meter embankment this Sunday night on the CV-70 road, in the municipality of Polop, according to the Provincial Firefighters Consortium of Alicante.
Among the injured are a 17-year-old minor and two young men aged 18 and 19, all three with multiple contusions, who were transferred to the Marina Baixa Hospital in La Vila Joiosa. The fourth injured person, also an 18-year-old young man, was treated for polytrauma, stabilized at the scene, and later evacuated to the Doctor Balmis Hospital in Alicante by a Medical Emergency Aid Service ambulance.
The alert for the incident was received at 9:18 PM on this road that connects Confrides and Polop. The vehicle plunged down an embankment, on a bend with an approximate drop of 150 meters.
The five occupants of the car were trapped inside the vehicle and had to be rescued by firefighters. As a result of the accident, one person died and the other four suffered injuries of varying severity.
A command unit, a heavy urban pumper, a light urban pumper, a rescue van, a sergeant, and eight firefighters from the Benidorm station were mobilized to the scene of the incident.
