The PSPV-PSOE has denounced the collapse in the Emergency Department of Marina Baixa Hospital, in la Vila Joiosa, and demands immediate measures from the Consell to reverse the situation.

The socialist group has expressed its concern about the situation affecting the service, where it has been confirmed that patients remain for more than 24 hours in Emergencies awaiting a hospital bed. This circumstance has been described as “intolerable” and “unsustainable”.

"We are facing a situation that no longer admits excuses: patients held in spaces not prepared for prolonged stays and professionals overwhelmed by the lack of planning."

A socialist deputy highlighted the shortage of staff during night shifts, a deficiency that directly affects key categories such as Auxiliary Nursing Care Technicians (TCAE). She warned that the overload is not only a labor problem but also a risk to the quality of care and patient safety.
The PSPV-PSOE has called on the Consell for a prompt response to this situation, which directly affects the citizens of the region. It has been emphasized that the deterioration of such an essential public service cannot continue to be ignored.
Therefore, the party demands the urgent implementation of a shock plan that includes streamlining hospital admissions, immediate reinforcement of staff, especially in nursing and TCAE, and guaranteeing dignified and safe conditions for patients.
