One person has died and three others were injured in a tragic traffic accident that took place on Sunday night in Polop de la Marina. The vehicle, carrying four occupants, veered off the road on a curve and plunged into a terraced field with an approximate 150-meter drop.

The accident occurred shortly after nine in the evening on the CV-70 road, on the stretch connecting Confrides with Polop de la Marina, within the latter municipality's boundaries.

For reasons under investigation by the Traffic Civil Guard, the car left the roadway. All four occupants were trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters from the Benidorm station, who concluded their operation shortly after half-past eleven at night.

One of the accident victims died as a result of the incident, while the other three sustained injuries of varying severity and received medical attention.

The Provincial Fire Consortium deployed a command unit, a heavy urban pumper, a light urban pumper, and a rescue van, with a total of one sergeant, one corporal, and eight firefighters from the Benidorm station.
