“"This expansion of the catalog reinforces the library's role as a living, open space adapted to a diverse social reality, where culture is a meeting point for residents of multiple nationalities."
With this expansion, the library responds to the multicultural reality of l'Alfàs del Pi, facilitating access to reading in native languages and promoting language learning. More than half of the municipality's residents are of foreign origin, representing nearly a hundred nationalities.
The L'Alfàs del Pi Municipal Library opened its doors in November 1982 with an initial collection of 2,000 books. Currently, the overall catalog amounts to 51,749 books, 3,815 films, and 1,874 sound files, consolidating its position as a cultural and educational benchmark in the Marina Baixa region.
