This intervention is part of a global budget of 1,093,555.09 euros, which also included the installation of new lighting at the Hermanos Martínez Munuera football fields, already completed. The decision to renovate all the lighting is due to the limitations that the previous system imposed on the type and scale of sports events that could be held at the facilities, according to the regulations of the Superior Sports Council.
The previous technology, based on discharge halide lamps without regulation, generated high energy and economic consumption. Therefore, the decision was made to replace them with new LED projectors, which offer greater luminous performance and a more appropriate photometric distribution. This modification will optimize the visual perception of the playing field and improve color fidelity, adapting the installation to the standards required by the RFEF and LaLiga for high-level competitions.
The project also includes increasing the height of the lighting towers. The existing lattice towers, 20 meters high, had a limited capacity for eight projectors and did not meet the minimum technical characteristics. The new towers will rise to 35 meters, which will allow for adequate photometric distribution and the installation of up to 40 projectors per tower.
Once the renovation is completed, the new installation will allow for the control and adaptation of the lighting to the different types of events held at the stadium, resulting in significant energy and economic savings.
