The Casa de Andalucía in Benidorm is celebrating its May Cross Festival today, a day of coexistence that combines tradition, Andalusian gastronomy, and dance for members and neighbors.

This celebration, which lasts all day, commemorates the finding of the True Cross by Saint Helena of Constantinople and heralds the arrival of spring with the flowers adorning the cross. The day brought together members and neighbors in a festive atmosphere marked by music, tradition, and conviviality.
Around 1:00 PM, the event was visited by the Mayor of Benidorm and the Councillor for Festivities, along with other members of the Municipal Corporation and a regional deputy. All of them were received by the president of the Casa de Andalucía and the queens of the entity, as well as by the president of FECUAS (Cultural Federation of Andalusia in the South of the Valencian Community).
After the blessing of the Cross by the parish priest of La Almudena, the festivities continued with visits from cultural and festive associations of the city. Typical Andalusian gastronomy and sevillanas dancing were the main attractions throughout the day, solidifying the spirit of camaraderie and tradition.
