Alicante province is facing the May holiday weekend with very favorable expectations for the hotel sector, with Benidorm and the Costa Blanca registering high occupancy forecasts.

Hotel sector forecasts for Alicante province are very positive for the upcoming May holiday weekend. The city of Benidorm has already reached 90% projected occupancy and this percentage is expected to increase with last-minute bookings. Meanwhile, the southern Costa Blanca exceeds 86%.
This positive outlook is largely due to the calendar, as the May 1st holiday falls on a Friday, allowing for a long weekend. Additionally, the coincidence with a holiday in most European countries also boosts short-stay international travel to the region.
Across the Valencian Community as a whole, the average reservation rate is close to 89%, an indicator that confirms the strong tourist momentum at the start of the summer season. The forecast places the autonomous community at high occupancy levels during this festive period.
Although Alicante maintains notable figures, the highest demand is concentrated in the city of Valencia, which is nearing full capacity with 94.5%. Valencia province is approaching 93%, while Castellón reaches 83.5% and Peñíscola stands at 82%.
The hotel sector is confident that weather conditions will allow these forecasts to be confirmed. Final occupancy will also depend on last-minute bookings, which are common during these types of holiday weekends.
