The Municipal Consumer Information Office (OMIC) in Benidorm has inaugurated its new headquarters on Beniardá Avenue number 12, in the former courthouses, providing a more spacious area for citizen services since April 10.

As of this Friday, April 10, Benidorm's OMIC will begin operating from its new location. These facilities, situated on Beniardá Avenue number 12, are the former courthouse premises in the town.
The Councillor for Consumer Affairs, Mónica Gómez, highlighted that the relocation will allow the OMIC to have a larger and more suitable space to serve citizens requiring advice or assistance on consumer matters. She also noted that the administrative extension for the Foietes-Colonia Madrid neighborhood has been operating in the same building for over two months.

The service is free and is responsible for informing and guiding users about their rights, as well as mediating in conflicts between consumers and companies providing goods, services, or supplies.

Should an agreement not be reached, claims are forwarded to the Consumer Arbitration Board. The city council plans to progressively incorporate other public services into this new municipal headquarters, including the future installation of the PROP office, as a result of the agreement for the transfer of these spaces by the Generalitat in May 2025.
The premises, which remained unused for years after the courthouses moved to the new Palace of Justice, cover an approximate area of 1,250 square meters. This concentration of services will allow for more efficient citizen attention at a single point.
