The municipality of Pego, in La Marina Alta, will host the Natural Wine Fair for the fourth consecutive year, an event that merges wine tradition with hip-hop culture and attracts producers from various parts of Spain and France.

The Pego Natural Wine Fair, scheduled for May 1, 2026, is establishing itself as a must-attend event for natural wine enthusiasts. This year's edition adopts hip-hop culture as its central theme, a choice that, according to the organizers, aims to highlight shared principles such as inclusion and human connection, despite the apparent distance between the two worlds.

"So far removed from natural wine but sharing fundamental philosophical principles such as inclusion and human relationships."

Jérôme Chesnot · Creator of Vi Natural and event organizer
Admission to the fair will cost €10 and will include a glass, allowing attendees to taste as many wines as they wish. The event will run from 11 AM to 5 PM. The initiative is supported by the Pego City Council, the Pego Commerce Association, COOPEGO, Rolser, the Baléaria Foundation, Casa Benigalip, Despensa Mediterránea, and Larouch.
The concept of natural wine, according to the organization, refers to wine made without additives or industrial techniques during vinification, from grapes grown using agroecological methods and harvested by hand. The idea for the fair originated in December 2022, when Mariano Taberner suggested Pego's Plaça del Convent as the ideal location for the event. Following quick acceptance by the city council, the first edition was held on May 1, 2023.
This 2026 edition will bring together a wide selection of natural wine growers and producers, including names such as Lambert de Sans Domaine, Andrés de Ouiea Vins, Joan de la Casa, Juan de Vinyologia Canor, Cristóbal de Cos a Cos, Mar e Ignacio de La Zafra, Roger de Les Foes, Efe and Yoli de Devotio, Raúl and Miguel Ángel de Endémic, Tonet and Pau de Caseta Vinamar, Susana and Juan de Pigar, José Antonio de Finca Mont Roig, Hilari, Paco and Xavi de Cup de la Muntanya, José María and Carles de Bodega la Encina, Antonio de Fábula, Sete de Tren de Vida, Mariano de Cueva by Mariano, Blanca de El Jardí dels Sentits, Hilarión de Sopla Levante, Ivà, Nuria and Ot de Paret Seca, Luc de Le Débit d'Ivresse, Xavi de Macameu, Jesús de Oida Vins, Maurizio de Les Agulles Wines, Pablo de Bodega Escuadra, Rafa de Sexto Elemento, Natalia de La Portella, 12 Ceps, and students from the “Oli i Vi” degree at IES Teulada.
