The project, which fulfills a dream from three decades ago, has not been limited to the rehabilitation of the main building. The promoters have carried out a comprehensive recovery task that includes dry stone walls, irrigation ditches, the irrigation pond, and the traditional well on the estate. This intervention seeks to highlight rural architecture and the history of Muscat grapes in the Marina Alta region.
The estate, strategically located near the AP-7 exit, had suffered progressive deterioration over time. The new owners, fascinated by the landscape and cultural richness of the area, have highlighted the importance of preserving this heritage. As they explained, the acquisition process was complex, as it required reaching an agreement with all the heirs of the property before being able to start the works.
The winery, which has already received recognition from local business owners, plans to start its first harvest next September. With this initiative, those responsible aim to attract wine tourism to Benissa, taking advantage of the uniqueness of the terraced fields and the winemaking tradition of the region.
“"This place has a soul. I am amazed by its nature, gastronomy, vineyards, traditional architecture, and above all, I am fascinated by the riuraus."
