Teulada High School, which also serves students from Benitatxell, will lose four Secondary and Baccalaureate groups for the next academic year, in addition to seeing student support hours reduced.

This situation is a clear example of the classroom overcrowding that teachers are protesting in the indefinite strike beginning today. The cuts at the institute will be drastic, affecting one Second Baccalaureate group, one 3rd ESO group, and two 1st ESO groups.
The elimination of Baccalaureate groups will mean fewer academic options for students, while at all levels, an increase in overcrowding, less individualized attention, and a decrease in educational quality are expected from the first day of the 2026-27 academic year.
In addition to the loss of groups, student support hours at this center will also be significantly reduced, from twelve to seven hours. This decrease implies less support for all students at the institute, which has already suffered previous cuts by the Ministry of Education.

the mayor of Teulada Moraira
Curiously, the mayor of Teulada Moraira, seems more concerned with other issues than with these cuts. In a recent plenary session, he conditioned his support for a motion on the defense of public education on the elimination of the term País Valencià. Subsequently, he disseminated a video on social media stating that he would never consent to that terminology, without making any mention of the precarious situation of the municipality's educational facilities, including the lack of air conditioning in schools.
