The town of Pego hosted a double training session on adolescence and family coexistence, with over 250 participants, including young people from IES Enric Valor and families.

The initiative, organized by the AFA of IES Enric Valor with the collaboration of the Youth area of the Pego City Council, registered high participation in both the sessions aimed at young people and the talk for families.
During the morning session, nearly a hundred ESO third-year students participated in an activity focused on the responsible use of screens and digital manipulation. Young people were challenged to a 24-hour digital disconnection to reflect on device dependency. In this meeting, adolescents expressed the need to feel more heard and the frustration with an “adult-centric” perception.

"There is no greater power for an adolescent than feeling that someone believes in them."

In the afternoon, the Carmen Alemany Bay Municipal Library gathered over 150 people for a conference aimed at families. The speaker explained the “three C’s” rule (connection, competence, and control), advocating for a democratic educational model that balances affection with discipline. Emphasis was placed on the importance of emotional validation, and parents were encouraged to be more flexible and pay attention to their children's non-verbal language.
