The Archaeology and Museums Department of Dénia City Council has scheduled free guided tours of the Castle throughout June weekends, revealing new insights at Portal dels Socors and Verger Baix.

On Saturdays and Sundays in June, at 11 AM, an expert-led tour will commence from the base of the Consell tower. The visit focuses on the recent restoration of the Portal dels Socors, also known as the Portal dels Reis, which historically connected the Castle to the fishing district.
Archaeological intervention has uncovered the original Islamic-era access, modified in the mid-16th century and later filled with debris from the War of Independence (Peninsular War). A small oratory from the mid-16th century, post-Christian conquest and linked to the construction of watchtowers, has also been found.
To participate in this free activity, prior registration is required. Registrations can be made by calling 96 642 02 60, Monday to Sunday, between 10 AM and 2 PM.
