The pilotari from Murla, Marc Giner, has regained the title of champion of the Individual de pilota valenciana in the escala i corda modality, after beating Salva Palau 60-45 in the final held at the Pelayo trinquet.

Marc Giner has once again risen to the top of Valencian pilota in the escala i corda modality. The pilotari from Murla has been crowned Individual champion for the second time, following his first title in 2024 and being unable to defend it last year due to injury. The final, postponed by a week due to Giner's own discomfort, finally took place this Saturday at the Pelayo trinquet, the Cathedral of pilota.
The match, which lasted approximately 90 minutes, pitted two great players against each other who offered a vibrant spectacle to the enthusiastic crowd. From the start, Giner showed his superiority, winning with skillful play and shots directed at his rival's right hand, Salva Palau's weak point. Despite the comeback attempts by the player from Alginet, who managed to equalize the game at 30 and take the lead, Giner managed to reconnect and secure his serve.
With a close score, especially in key moments like 50-40, Giner demonstrated his solidity, using a new ball and quickly sealing the match. The Murla player thus secured his second individual title, consolidating his dominance in this discipline.
The trophy presentation ceremony was attended by various authorities, including the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, Pepe Díez (second vice-president and Minister of Presidency), Carlos Gil (autonomous secretary of Institutional Policy and Territorial Cohesion), Pedro Cuesta (deputy of Sports of the Diputació de València), Jaime Casas (Director of Institutions of CaixaBank in the Valencian Community), Vicent Molines (president of the Valencian Pilota Federation), and José Luis López (president of the foundation that bears his name).
This Sunday, the Xeraco trinquet will host the final of the Men's Raspall Individual Championship, with Tonet IV and Iván as protagonists.
