The Generalitat has initiated the renovation of the wastewater pumping station in Xàbia port and completed the installation of solar panels, with a total investment of 350,000 euros.

These actions, carried out in collaboration with the Fishermen's Guild, aim to modernize port infrastructures and promote sustainability. The third vice-president and Minister of Territory, Vicente Martínez Mus, highlighted that they combine the improvement of essential services with the promotion of energy efficiency.
The remodeling of the wastewater pumping station has a budget of 276,061 euros and an execution period of three months. The project includes the incorporation of two new pumps and an increase in nominal power and flow elevation capacity, to improve service performance.

"This action will allow us to update a key infrastructure for the daily operation of the port, adapting it to current needs and reinforcing the quality of the service it provides to the Guild."

Additionally, the installation of 119 photovoltaic modules on the fish market and port offices in Xàbia has been completed, with an investment of 74,000 euros. These panels, with a power of 64.45 kWp, are intended for energy self-consumption and are already operational.
This initiative is part of the Generalitat's Energy Efficiency Plan, which has mobilized over one million euros to equip seven port facilities in the Valencian Community with renewable energy sources, avoiding the emission of 501.6 tons of CO₂ annually.
