Writer Jesús Moncho has presented his new work 'Una dona, dos dones, tres dones…' at the Casa de Cultura in Xàbia, in an event hosted by Amadeu Ros.

Author Jesús Moncho, born in Gata, presented his latest publication, titled Una dona, dos dones, tres dones…, at the Casa de Cultura in Xàbia. The event was hosted by Amadeu Ros, who highlighted Moncho's reinterpretation of major classical myths and their conflict with individual freedom.
The ancient belief in a destiny set by cruel gods clashes with the modern concept of freedom. Moncho explores this tension through stories featuring female characters from classical mythology, such as Alcíone, Níobe, and Fedra, in a hostile, ironic, and sometimes tragic world. Ros read excerpts from the work, illustrating how these characters seek recognition and face the fragility of existence.
The presentation included a mention of La Sibil·la d’Ulldecona, one of the volume's stories, which combines irony and reflection on language. Jesús Moncho, a graduate in Philosophy and Letters, has a prolific literary career, recognized with several awards, and is the author of works such as Contes del Migjorn and La Taverna del Negre.
