Els Magazinos, the renowned gastronomic and cultural market in Dénia, is celebrating its seventh anniversary with a special program running from April 29 to May 3, under the motto “7 years. Where the Mediterranean beats”.

Over these seven years, Els Magazinos has established itself as a meeting point where gastronomy, culture, tradition, and territory coexist in harmony. The space highlights local products, traditions, and the artistic talent of the Marina Alta region, offering a complete Mediterranean experience.
For this edition, artist María Barrera has been commissioned to create the anniversary image, which will bring the celebration to life. Over five days, the venue will host free activities for all audiences, combining live music, art, tradition, and gastronomic experiences, always keeping the Mediterranean as the central theme.

The sea, both in the past when Els Magazinos was the port area where ship cargo was stored and in the present, is part of daily life, setting the rhythm, life, and activity of the place.

The program includes a daily anniversary tapas route, with a tapa and Turia Beer for 6 euros, and the chance to get a commemorative bag by María Barrera. There will also be a street market featuring sustainable and local crafts, with artisans from the Valencian Community, and art exhibitions such as “Coast and Countryside” by Mariia Zhurykova and Anastasiia Syd, and “The Dreams of the Balearic Islanders” by the Fundación Baleària.
Among the featured activities, on Wednesday, April 29, and Thursday, April 30, the tapas route will be accompanied by live music from the “Xaranga l’Embolic” of Xàbia. On Thursday, April 30, Xavi Gómez and Elena Almendros will perform on the La Rosa Terrace. On Friday, May 1, an inclusive fashion show “Paraigües” by Aprosdeco will take place, featuring over 40 umbrellas transformed into works of art, followed by a parade with the Agrupación Musical de Dénia “Fem Banda”. On Saturday, May 2, there will be live music with Mr. Smoke and a session by A.K.A. Soulsick.
On Sunday, May 3, the program will culminate with an outdoor barre event taught by Barre & Pilates Studio Abby Hopkins, a workshop “Light and Color of the Mediterranean” with Ximo Canet, and a performance by Dianium Dansa with the show “Ballem Cabuts i Drac”, which promotes Valencian culture through traditional dance.
