The Dénia Local Police has announced that it will intensify speed controls in the municipality from April 13 to 19, joining a campaign by the General Directorate of Traffic to enhance road safety.

The city of Dénia already has significant speed limits, including radars on its main avenues and the designation of many urban streets as Zone 20. However, this week, surveillance will be notably increased.
This measure is part of the special speed surveillance and control campaign promoted by the DGT. Local Police officers will focus on various undisclosed points in the municipality, with the primary goal of reducing accidents and strengthening road safety.

"Excessive speed not only increases the risk of an accident but also significantly aggravates its consequences."

Dénia Police
The Dénia Police has reminded the public of the importance of respecting speed limits, adapting driving to road conditions, and driving responsibly. They also emphasized that one's own safety and that of others is paramount, and in case of emergency, 112 should be contacted.
