The municipal corporation of Dénia has celebrated World Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Day with an institutional event at the City Council to show its support for those affected and for research into this illness.

Every May 12, since 1993, World Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Day is commemorated. This date coincides with the birth of Florence Nightingale, a nurse who suffered from this illness for 50 years.
The event held at Dénia City Council saw the active participation of the regional association for affected individuals, Afima. During the day, a manifesto was read to highlight the situation of patients.

"Dénia City Council joins Afima's demands to support those affected and promote research and treatment for fibromyalgia."
