The Poetes per la Cultura association, in collaboration with Dénia City Council, has released the rules for the sixth edition of the Marina Alta Poetry Prize, open to works in Valencian and Spanish.

Poetry continues to gain prominence in Dénia and the Marina Alta region. While events celebrating the figure of Juan Chabás, a prominent member of the Generation of '27, are ongoing, and just days after the presentation of the Adolfo Utor Acevedo awards, the Poetes per la Cultura association has launched its literary competition.
The VI Marina Alta Prize accepts poetry collections on any theme, with a length of between 150 and 300 verses. The competition has a national and international scope, offering a prize of 500 euros for the winning work in each of the two languages, Valencian and Spanish.
The deadline for submitting original works is July 31. The jury, for its part, will issue its verdict during the month of September. This competition was established after the Adolfo Utor Acevedo Prize ceased to be convened, although both now coincide.
