Firefighters from the Provincial Consortium of Alicante (CPBA) had to intervene this afternoon in two different fires. The first fire broke out in the municipality of Catral, in Baix Segura, specifically on the Arroba de Hornos road, at 3:17 PM. The fire, involving reeds, spread rapidly, necessitating the deployment of a command helicopter. Four fire crews from the Crevillent and Almoradí stations, along with an aerial unit and two forest firefighter units, were dispatched. Thanks to the swift action, the fire was declared stabilized at 5:15 PM.
The other fire occurred in Benissa, in Marina Alta, with the alert received around 3:38 PM in the Pinos area. It was a forest fire located in a place difficult to access by land, which also led to the mobilization of two aerial resources. Additionally, four fire crews from the Benissa and Benidorm stations, along with two forest firefighter units, operated in the area to control the flames.
