The Aprosdeco association, dedicated to the labor inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities, has launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise 20,000 euros and prevent the closure of its industrial laundry in Ondara.

The laundry, which is part of the service that Aprosdeco offers at the occupational and day center in La Xara and the supervised homes in Dénia, is crucial for eleven users. These workers develop job skills, gain autonomy, and receive a salary, but the continuity of their service is at risk.
The current machinery, over thirty years old, includes an industrial washing machine and a dryer that experience constant breakdowns and increasingly costly repairs. When they break down, the activity is paralyzed, jeopardizing the jobs and income source of the users.

"For them, coming to the Ondara laundry every day is not just about working: it's about feeling useful, belonging to a team, and demonstrating everything they are capable of doing."

The crowdfunding campaign aims to raise 20,000 euros to acquire a high-capacity industrial washing machine, a high-performance industrial dryer, and a towel folder. These improvements would allow the entity to continue offering quality service to its clientele, which includes hospitality businesses, individuals, and shops, and, above all, to maintain jobs.
As of April 22, the campaign had raised 523 euros. Therefore, Aprosdeco not only asks for donations but also urges people to spread the word about the initiative to reach more people. Additionally, the association suggests that businesses contract their laundry services or sponsor a machine, with the motto: "Together, we continue washing the future."
