Sanz Moncho, known for his previous participation and victories in competitions organized by the Department of Culture, has exceeded all expectations in this edition. The jury selected him as the winner in three of the four categories established in the contest rules.
In the best tourist photography category, Alfredo Sanz won both first and second prizes with his works Madinat Daniya and Curiosidad, respectively. These recognitions come with endowments of 600 and 300 euros.
Regarding the best artistic photography category, the first prize, with a 600 euro endowment, went to Paco Costa Cervera, from Jesús Pobre, for his image Paseos de buena mañana. The second prize in this category, worth 300 euros, was once again awarded to Alfredo Sanz Moncho for his black and white photograph titled Invierno.
A total of 60 photographs were submitted to the XXX edition of the contest: 31 in the artistic category and 29 in the tourist category. The jury responsible for the evaluation consisted of Alejandro Álvarez Liberti, plastic artist; Raúl García de la Reina, Culture Councillor; Eva Asperilla, technician from the Tourism Department of the Dénia City Council; and Mavi Rovira, technician from the Culture Department, who served as secretary.
A selection of the participating works in the contest will be exhibited at the Casa de Cultura de Dénia from April 9 to May 2, offering the public an opportunity to appreciate the artistic quality of the submissions.
