Aerial Rescue in Serra del Migdia, Pego, to Evacuate Injured Man

A 55-year-old man was airlifted to Sant Vicent Fire Station for medical attention after suffering a possible ankle sprain.

The Provincial Fire Consortium of Alicante carried out an aerial rescue last Sunday for a 55-year-old man in the Serra del Migdia of Pego, who had a possible ankle sprain.

The alert was received at 3:52 PM, activating an emergency response to assist the hiker. The Alpha 01 rescue helicopter and the GER (Special Rescue Group) were mobilized for the intervention and evacuation.
The aircraft successfully landed in the area where the injured man was located. After receiving initial medical attention on site, he was airlifted to a medical facility.
The injured individual was transported to the Sant Vicent del Raspeig fire station, where a Basic Life Support (BLS) unit was waiting to continue providing necessary assistance. The rescue operation officially concluded at 5:04 PM.
