French-Japanese pianist Marcel Tadokoro will close the 2025/2026 season of L’Esperança Coronada in Dénia next Wednesday, April 22, with a monographic concert dedicated to Franz Liszt.

The performance will take place at the Auditori del Centre Social de Dénia at 7:30 PM. This concert marks the beginning of the interpreter's national tour, who won third prize at the XX Santander International Piano Competition “Paloma O’Shea”.
The program chosen for the capital of Marina Alta focuses entirely on the figure of Franz Liszt, one of the fundamental authors of musical romanticism. The repertoire will offer a journey through the different stylistic facets of the Hungarian composer, who redefined the technical and expressive possibilities of the piano during the 19th century.
The recital will showcase various registers of Liszt's work, from its most lyrical and introspective dimension to the display of virtuosic writing that demands rigorous technical precision and sound control. In Liszt's compositions, virtuosity transcends mere mechanical exhibition to become a tool for constructing musical discourse, positioning the piano as a «total instrument».

His compositions position the piano as a «total instrument», capable of condensing colors, dynamics, and tensions characteristic of an orchestra, generating a sonic experience of notable intensity.

Marcel Tadokoro, born in Fukuoka, Japan, has consolidated his career with recognitions such as third prize at the Santander Competition in 2022 and the «John Giordano» Discretionary Jury Award at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition the same year. He has collaborated with ensembles such as the Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie and the National Philharmonic of Ukraine.
This recital concludes the 2025/2026 season of L’Esperança Coronada, which has brought together performers of various generations in Dénia, offering a heterogeneous program in chamber music and solo interpretation. The season has seen high public attendance, consolidating this concert society as a cultural reference in Marina Alta.
