The town of Calp has inaugurated a new 54-meter artistic railing on Cronista Pedro Pastor street, a work by artist Toni Marí that pays tribute to the most representative festivities and landscape elements of the municipality.

This installation, titled “Amor al mar… amor”, offers views of the Arenal-Bol beach and follows the line of the first railing designed by Toni Marí on La Fossa beach, which already celebrated Calp's connection with the sea and the fishing sector.
The new railing stands out for its representation of Calp's traditional festivities, such as the Moors and Christians, the Bous al Carrer (bulls in the street), and Calp's Holy Week. Additionally, it includes landscape and architectural icons like the Peñón de Ifach, the church, hermitages, the Baths of the Queen, Casa Nova, and the Bofill buildings.

"In this work, I have tried to capture the most representative aspects of Calp so that those who see it can identify and relate to the sea, the Peñón, archaeology, the festivities… it is a tribute to the festivities and to Calp in general."

The railing, spanning 54 linear meters, is made of galvanized iron and oven-painted. The approximate cost of this project, along with the La Fossa railing, has been €42,000. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the artist from Xàbia and by Joaquín Roselló, who authored some of the texts appearing on the railing.
