The arrest followed an investigation that revealed the detainee operated in municipalities such as Teulada, Moraira, Calp, and Altea. His modus operandi involved approaching victims while pretending to be on a phone call, aiming to distract them and steal their belongings unnoticed.

In addition to the 25 theft offenses he is accused of, the individual has also been charged with a fraud offense. Authorities discovered that there was an existing judicial order for his search, arrest, and appearance, as well as an expulsion order from national territory due to previous incidents.

The police operation was coordinated by the Civil Guard of Alicante, successfully ending a series of crimes that had caused concern in the Marina Alta region.
