The Valencian territory has once again experienced seismic activity. According to the National Geographic Institute, the first tremor, of magnitude 3, was registered at 1:52 AM this Monday with its epicenter in Vallada. Shortly after, at 2:13 AM, a second earthquake of magnitude 1.5 occurred in Ontinyent.
Both earthquakes occurred at shallow depths, three kilometers for the one in Vallada and two kilometers for the one in Ontinyent. The larger magnitude earthquake, the one in Vallada, was perceived by the population, as confirmed by the Valencian Association of Meteorology (Avament).

Several residents of the affected towns have confirmed feeling the seismic movements, especially the one in Vallada, which caused many people in the area to wake up.
