Miquel Castalla leaves UD Canals bench

Unión Deportiva Canals has officially announced the departure of Miquel Castalla as first-team coach, who will not continue for the upcoming 2026-2027 season.

After the conclusion of the current campaign, the board of directors of UD Canals and the coach are parting ways. The club has publicly thanked Castalla for "the work, dedication, and professionalism" he has shown leading the team during his tenure.
UD Canals "wishes him the best of luck in his future professional and personal projects, remembering that Canals will always be his home." The club from la Costera has not announced who will be the coach to replace Miquel Castalla next season.
UD Canals finished this season in ninth place in Group 5 of the Segunda FFCV, placing them in the middle of the table with a total of 37 points. The club finished far behind the league champions, Catarroja CF, who concluded the season with 79 points.
